Barak was courteous, prompt and professional from the first email. Even though we were traveling from Colorado to Israel for our daughter’s Bat Mitzvah, he made us feel relaxed and at ease throughout the process. At her ceremony we were able to be in the moment and were very impressed that we barely noticed his presence, yet the amazing photographs captured the beautiful morning perfectly. Barak was instantly helpful & professional. from our initial back-and-forth via email to his help using paypal – he was terrific, efficient and lovely. having never been to israel before, he also offered input on our event location and timing. he was warm, friendly, professional and took beautiful photos. he was in touch quickly with an initial “album” online, followed by a robust cd. his photos are wonderful. i cannot recommend him highly enough! Barak photographed my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. He was the consummate professional from start to finish. While he has done many B’nai Mitzvot, capturing the essence of teens is a challenge. It’s an awkward time for them, and unlike a wedding, there are a number of personal development issues that can present challenges for the photographer. When we finally met in person it was like reconnecting with an old friend. He didn’t rush his work and it’s evident in the finished photos. When I looked at the photos I was surprise at how much he captured the intimacy of our small ceremony yet saw that a crowd was growing and sharing in our simcha. Once the ceremony began I didn’t even see Barak, yet the photos definitely show that he was close and capturing the joy and emotion on each of us. His personality is so kind and gentle. Capturing the inner spirit of a 12-year old girl is likely one of the more challenging things for a B’nai Mitzvah photographer. Barak did that with ease. It was just days after the ceremony when the Rabbi asked for our photographer’s contact information because he appreciated the respect and professionalism Barak showed. An orthodox Bat Mitzvah, while becoming more common, is still not as common. Yet Barak treated it as if it was the most important event he’s ever shot. I planned my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah from the US. And when I opened up the beautiful package from Barak with the jump drive of her Bat Mitzvah photos, I cried.
